Pembrey Helicopter Flights

The first lift from Pembrey is always a thrill. The rotors gather pace, there’s a flutter in your chest, and then you’re rising — fields, trees, and sandy tracks sliding quietly away beneath you. Almost at once, the Welsh coast begins to reveal itself. Pembrey’s long beach stretches out like a pale ribbon, curving for miles along the edge of the sea.

On a clear day, the light catches on the water, and now and then the shape of an old shipwreck shows in the sand, a reminder of how many stories these shores of Wales have seen.Turn your head inland, and the view is completely different: a patchwork of fields, woodland, and winding lanes fading into the horizon.

As the flight continues, the scenery changes with every moment. Burry Port Marina appears like a small postcard picture, its lighthouse and moored boats neat and bright from above. Silver estuaries thread their way across the green land, twisting gently towards the sea. Choose a longer flight and you may follow the curve of the coast further, where the Loughor Estuary opens wide and the Gower Peninsula rises in folds of cliffs and coves.

More than anything, it’s the feeling that stays with you. That first lightness as the helicopter leaves the earth, the steady thrum of the rotors, and the hush of the world below — it’s part adventure, part calm escape. By the time you land again at Pembrey, the coastline feels different, as though you’ve shared a secret view that few ever get to see.

For shared flights such as these, ages 6 years to 13 need to be accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. There is no maximum age limit.

Maximum height is 6’6”.

Maximum weight is 12-15 stone (depending on location).
